September 11, 2001 created a new paradigm for millions of Americans. Although most people are aware that no day is guaranteed, that day reminded us that we must not take life for granted. People began to look for more meaning. "Am I doing what I'm supposed to be doing with my life?" a young attorney asked. A government youth counselor asked a similar question, "Is this all life has to offer?" From individuals employed in major corporations, to government employees, to business owners, people in general are asking, "What is life all about?" People are wondering if they are in the right place and doing the right thing. The Center for Self-Actualization, Inc. helps the wondering mind gain clarity to these life-changing questions.

Rev. Deena M. Jones, author of Evolving Into Knowingness, Living the Light Handbook and Unlocking Your Riches: A Psychological and Spiritual Guide to Attaining and Maintaining Wealth founded the Center for Self-Actualization, Inc. Deena M. Jones is a graduate of The Barbara King School of Ministry in Atlanta, Georgia and has a degree in Psychology from Carson Newman College in Tennessee. She is an advocate of self-sufficiency, with her overall theme being, 'use your God innate abilities to create the life you desire.' Along with writing books, she has written dozens of articles on spiritual living and is a seasoned workshop facilitator.

The Center for Self-Actualization, Inc. is designed to assist those on the quest for self-actualization, sufficiency and purpose. To be self-actualized is to utilize your fullest potential in all areas of life, and this has been the quest of our founder.

While it is noted that only a small percentage of the population ever reach self-actualization it is something that we believe is possible for all who desire. Deena's attitude has always been one who can, and people who spend any time around her grasp the 'I can' attitude very quickly. She has assisted numerous people in starting their own business, publishing their book or just broadening their concept of self.

The quest for self-actualization, sufficiency and purpose is usually hidden in the inner most part of our mind, only to be awakened through traumatic events like 9-11; yet, it is something that we all long for: satisfaction, balance and living life with meaning. Deena's own search for understanding is what lead her to ministerial school. "What better place to learn more about God," was the question she asked. Her first book, Evolving Into Knowingness is based on an ascension experience that occurred her first year of ministerial school. This experience gave her a glimpse of her unique place in the Universe, her purpose and reason for being, and in this book she helps the reader discover their purpose and reason for being.

The Center for Self-Actualization, Inc. is the next logical step in Deena's evolution. Why not be all that God created you to be? Why not live life with purpose; after all, that is what life is all about. Through a variety of services including business consulting, publishing, workshops, inservices, and coaching we help participants on the path to self-actualization. This is by no means a 'one woman show' - the Center's staff consists of leaders from our community.
